Building Shambhala
We are helping to lay the foundations of an enlightened society. We are connecting efforts to bring a New Humanity into a New Earth.
We design and operate regenerative systems for land, cities, capital, and human development — so people can live in harmony with each other and with Mother Earth, while creating real, lasting prosperity.
The systems that built the modern world are no longer sufficient. They extract more than they restore, fragment more than they unite, and generate wealth at the cost of long-term health — for people and for the planet. This site exists to build what comes next.
Our work focuses on three essential outcomes:

Soulful Citizens
Citizens are the fundamental essence of a civilization. We first seek to optimize human self-realization and cooperation. A healthy civilization depends on conscious, capable people. We design education, environments, and cultural systems that support emotional regulation, ethical maturity, open mindedness, cooperation, and spiritual growth — not just productivity.
Regenerative Resources
Second, we create abundant, regenerative sources of wealth. Building wealth-producing systems rooted in regeneration: healthy land, resilient infrastructure, circular economies, and disciplined capital stewardship. Prosperity is not taken — it is grown, maintained, and shared across generations.
Healing Habitats
Third, we design built environments that support life and awakening. Cities, buildings, and landscapes shape human behavior and consciousness. We design habitats that are beautiful, functional, energy-positive, and aligned with nature — places where people naturally become healthier, calmer, and more connected.
We Seek to Serve Mother Earth
Underlying all of our work at Building Shambhala is a principle of sacred reciprocity with Mother Earth and service to something greater than ourselves.
We treat the planet not as a resource to be consumed, but as a living system to be honored, restored, and partnered with. Every system we build is designed to give back more than it takes.
Our effort is to evolve civilization toward an enlightened, integrated society using proven economic frameworks, regenerative design, and a long-term view of human potential.
We are building a future where prosperity, peace, and planetary health reinforce one another — by design.
Meet Dan
Builder, Father, Craftsman
I have worked with my hands and body most of my life — as a personal trainer and movement coach, an excavator, a remodeler and a craftsman. I have moved earth, shaped the land, and constructed things that serve life. That work is not separate from this mission. It is the same path, expressed through soil, stone and wood.
At a personal level, I am a husband, a father, and a self-employed business owner. My wife and I co-own and operate a remodel company together — she designs and manages, I build and deliver. We are passionate about living eco-friendly and sustainable because we love nature and feel good surrounded by plants, animals, fresh air and clean water.
I am also a lifelong student — of yoga and somatic practices, of spiritual traditions East and West, of systems thinking, ecology, and the deep patterns that connect all living things. For most of my life I moved restlessly across disciplines, wondering if I was too scattered to be useful. I have come to understand that the scanning was the search. Every thread led back to the same root:
There is one problem in the world — the illusion of separation. And one solution — the living recognition of our oneness with each other, with the Earth, and with the Source of all things.
That recognition is not a belief I hold. It is a practice I live — imperfectly, daily, with full commitment.
I have found that as we can remove toxins, fear and stress from our minds and bodies the more open to receiving love we are and the more willing we are to giving love freely. This is the beginning of dissolving the illusion of separation

The work of building a better world has long been underway. Regenerative farmers, indigenous wisdom keepers, somatic healers, sacred architects, conscious educators, community builders, and quiet visionaries have been laying this foundation since the beginning. I am joining in the song and dance.
What I feel called to contribute is connection and synthesis — helping the best existing projects find each other, amplify each other, and operate as a coherent whole rather than isolated efforts.
The World Game, as Buckminster Fuller imagined it, is not won by any single player. It is won when enough aligned people recognize each other and begin to move together in harmonic resonance.
My role in this as I see it is to find the patterns, optimize and build — with my hands, with systems, with relationships, and with whatever creativity and resources I can bring — in service of that larger coherence. Where gaps exist, I want to help fill them. Where resonant work is already flourishing, I want to honor it, connect it, and stand behind it.
If you are building something that belongs in this network — or if you know someone who is — I genuinely want to hear from you.
